A lasting tribute
In honor of Andru Peters
Andru was a treasured friend and a friend to Wild Wings Plaza. He helped us establish the historical information shared by the museum and wrote a book about Camp Lakeview. We are grateful for all he did to preserve this story.

Preserving the story
Andru’s book on Camp Lakeview
History of Camp Lakeview National Guard Training Camp 1881–1931, Lake City, Minnesota was researched and prepared by Andru Peters. His research helps preserve the story of the camp and the people connected to it.
Ask us about purchasing a copy. Sales of Andru’s book help us continue expanding the museum.
The book also includes a dedication in memory of David McKenzie, a longtime Lake City American Legion member and past post commander.
Remembering Tony Hebert
The museum includes a memorial display for Army Specialist Anthony “Tony” Hebert, a local young man who was killed while serving in Iraq during the 2007 Surge. We honor his service and remember him here.
